Boynton Beach City Counsil grants Kids’ Dreams funds for Boynton Beach Students
Mayor Stephen Grant contact Kids’ Dreams for information about Kids’ Dreams support of youth from Boynton Beach. In response to his request for additional information, Kids’ Dreams Officer, John Levey, made a presentation before the Boynton Beach City Council on December 6, 2016. Present in the packed audience with the Boynton Beach community was Boynton Beach Policy Chief Jeff Katz who also commended Kids’ Dreams on it efforts in helping Boynton Beach youth. Mr. Levey explained that Kids’ Dreams has provided thousands of dollars in funding to the Title 1 school children of Boynton Beach with college scholarships, camp experiences, academic experiences, support of the Thespians at Boynton Beach High School and financial awards to the winners of the Alan Lebow Awards for Excellence in Shakespearean Performance at the Kravis Center. He included information about the special student who received a check for $1000 to pursue her dream of becoming a marine biologist. This is another important step in linking Kids’ Dreams with elected officials in support of economically-underserved youth. Mr. Levey assured the audience that all funds from Boynton Beach would be directed specifically for the benefit of Boynton Beach residents.
