468 children from Title 1 schools have attended the Fourth Annual Project WILD Science Fair which was hosted by the Palm Beach Zoo and supported by Kids Dreams. Participants are physically and/or emotionally challenged students who benefit from this special day to showcase the projects that they have created during the school year in their classrooms. The Palm Beach County Sheriff’s Office partnered with Kids Dreams and the Zoo to provide mounted horseback to greet the children as they entered the Zoo.
Since its inception, the Project WILD Science Fair has quadrupled in the number of classrooms participating in the event. Students are proud of the hard work they have invested in developing their science projects and thrilled to see them displayed at the Zoo’s Peggy Brown Pavilion.
