The Alan Lebow Awards: An Introduction

THE PATRICIA AND ALAN LEBOW SHAKESPEARE PROGRAM

Created in memory of Kids’ Dreams co-founder Mr. Alan Lebow, The Lebow Awards program engaged students from Title 1 high schools and provided the opportunity for those students to perform short selections from William Shakespeare’s works before a panel of distinguished judges.

(West Palm Beach, FL) – This summer, students take center stage as the Kravis Center’s Shakespeare Summer Intensive returns June 30. This five-day program offers high school and college students immersive training in Shakespeare while honoring Alan Lebow, co-founder of sponsor Kids’ Dreams, Inc.

All students receive full scholarships and lunch, ensuring accessibility. New this year, Trent Stephens, Artistic Director of Palm Beach Shakespeare Festival, joins as Artistic Coordinator, and Sheila Bandyopadhyay will lead an Elizabethan Dance and Movement class.

Students choose between acting or design tracks, receiving expert instruction. The program concludes July 5 with a showcase and an exclusive trip to see “A Winter’s Tale” on July 10.

Enrollment in the Shakespeare Summer Intensive is fully funded for all students thanks to the generous support of Kids’ Dreams, Inc. and the Kravis Center. Attendance is limited. The deadline to register is June 13, 2025. For more information, please contact Courtney Anello at anello@kravis.org.
