Bio: Alan Lebow (1927 – 2009)

Mr. Lebow co-founded Kids’ Dreams with his wife, Patricia. Mr. Lebow was known for his generosity and philanthropic endeavors. He achieved the status of Founder at many institutions including the Kravis Center for the Performing Arts; Mount Sinai Medical Center Miami, Israel Tennis Centers; and the University of Richmond, at which he endowed a family scholarship to help students in need, in keeping with the mission of Kids’ Dreams. Mr. Lebow was born in Baltimore, Maryland. He was President of Alan Lebow, Inc., a well-known manufacturer of high quality men’s clothing. The Alan Awards for Excellence in Shakespeare was created by Kids’ Dreams and endowed at the Kravis Center to perpetuate his love of Shakespeare and honor his memory.
