Shakespeare Intensive Field Trip

Last night’s outing to the Palm Beach Shakespeare Festival’s King Lear production was for our Shakespeare Summer Intensive students! The evening kicked off with a captivating pre-show performance by The Sonnet Man, blending sonnets with a hip-hop beat that truly resonated with our students. This adaptation of King Lear was nothing short of electrifying, leaving a lasting impression on all who attended. Following the performance, the students had the invaluable opportunity to engage in a talkback session with the cast.

One of the best parts was seeing our students reconnect with their friends from the Intensive. They’ve formed such a tight-knit group, even keeping up with what I understand is quite a lively group chat. It’s heartwarming to see these friendships cross school boundaries. 🙂
